Grown up in Düsseldorf, after high school basic military service in Hanover, then studied mechanical engineering (automotive engineering) at RWTH Aachen, diploma thesis at Mercedes-Benz AG, graduated as Diplom-Ingenieur. Started his career at TRW Fahrwerksysteme GmbH & Co. KG in Düsseldorf as a project engineer, spent several months abroad in Pamplona (Spain) to set up the assembly line for the VW Polo power steering system and introduce it into series production, then moved to Johnson Controls GmbH & Co. KG in Burscheid, most recently as Program Manager & Sales Manager, during which time he was certified as a Program Management Professional. Subsequent stations at Kautex Textron GmbH & Co. KG in Bonn as Director Sales & Program Management, during this time certification as Six Sigma Green Belt, and Coroplast Fritz Müller GmbH & Co. KG in Wuppertal as Head of Sales & New Business Management. 2007 Transfer to TRW Automotive (later ZF TRW) Engineered Fasteners & Components GmbH in Enkenbach-Alsenborn with the functions, Director Global Engineering and Program Management on C-Level with about 130 employees, additional worldwide matrix responsibility (General Manager, Plant Manager) and key account support (e.g. Mercedes-Benz, VW-Group). After the transition to ITW Automotive Director for Sales, Engineering and Program Management.
